    The GSD League of Great Britain, as a member club of the WUSV officially

    Announces the set up of the WUSV Regional Group.

 

    The WUSV Regional Group, which is affiliated to the GSDL now lists it`s

     Inaugural clubs as follows, some of which are existing clubs which are non

    Signatories to the KC`s `GSD Club undertaking` and some of which have been

     set up as affiliated clubs to the GSDL specifically to run WUSV events.

 

    Allertonshire GSD Club

    Cambridge GSD

    Cornwall GSD

    Crewe & North Staffs GSD Club

    Midland Region GSD Group

    North Eastern  GSD Club

    Scottish Progressive Group

    Southern GSD Group

    West Yorkshire GSD Club

 

    Further Clubs/Groups are welcome to apply to become a member of the

     Regional Group as long as they fulfil the criteria laid down in the RG`s constitution.

 

    The `Aims and Objectives` of the Regional Group are as  follows

 

    AIMS

 

       .   To promote the heath and welfare of the German Shepherd Dog

 

       .   To provide a medium for members to exchange views and information

 

       .   To organise and arrange events for the GSD based on WUSV rules

 

       .   To provide an educational base for sharing information on:-

           

                WUSV rules and regulations

                Mandatory Health Issues

                Working qualifications

  

       .   To promote the GSD as per the WUSV standard

 

       .   To assist members in obtaining qualifications based on the WUSV

           System

       .   To work alongside the GSD League of Great Britain as an affiliated

           Organisation.

 

    OBJECTIVE

 

    To promote a sound, healthy German Shepherd, conforming to the breed

    Standard and which is capable of achieving a minimum qualification of BH.

 

    A calendar of Regional Events will be posted on the GSDL website, where we

    Aim to achieve giving at least one year`s notice regarding forthcoming events.

 

    As the Group is in it`s infancy working together, we intend to move forward

     step by step to ensure everything put in place is in tune with our `Aims and

     Objectives` and also in tune with the British GSD peoples requirements at this

     present stage.

 

    There will be a Regional Group League Table each year points will be

     counted to produce `Top Awards` for that year.

 

    Puppy to Adult Classes                              3 pts for 1st

                                                                  1 pt for 3rd

 

    Working Class                                          5 pts for V1

                                                                  4 pts for V2

                                                                  3 pts for V3

 

    Working Class (British Sieger Show only)      7 pts for VA1

                                                                  6 pts for all subsequent VA`s

                                                                  (then as  per working class

                                                                  Above)

 

    These points are retrospective commencing from the first Regional Event April

    2010.

 

    There is ongoing discussion regarding providing the title of `British Regional

    Group Champion` and other initiatives. To this end we intend to canvass the

    Views of the GSD people.

 

    News bulletins, information etc on any Regional Event will be posted on the

    GSDL web site - gsdleague.co.uk
